Samon Machines, with over 15 employees, is part of Ellens Landbouw Techniek. During the summer period the number of temporary employees amounts to approximately 25 people. In the meantime Samon has become one of the most specialised production companies in the agricultural sector with the well-known onion harvest machines as the main group. With a production of approximately 300 units per year marketed over the whole world Samon Machines can call itself the largest manufacturer of this product group in the world. We also specialise in the production and development of potato root harvesters, bottom unloading/transporting belts and complete chicory lifters and collectors. Insofar known to Ellens there are no other companies in Europe that construct complete chicory lifters and collectors. “We are working to also market the machines in Belgium and France. In particular France is a substantial market. Taking our space into consideration constructing two chicory harvesters per year will be sufficient.
